What does WCCC look for in
evaluating an application?
We seek students who are:
- intellectually curious;
- creative;
- apt to benefit from small classes and challenging professors;
- able to contribute to life outside the classroom.
What factors does WCCC consider
in selecting such students?
- the overall academic record;
- the level of challenge in the course work;
- counselor and teacher recommendations;
- the application and essay;
- overall academic potential;
- extracurricular participation;
- personal qualities;
- the interview if available.
How important are standardized test scores?
- About 20-25% of recent entering classes decided not to
submit standardized test results.
- Because standardized test results are used for academic
counseling and placement, all entering first-year student must submit scores
over the summer prior to enrolling.
Can I get application materials on line?
- Yes! The Application
for Admissions and other required forms
are downloadable from the Web.
When will I be notified about a decision on my application?
- In early April. (Mid-December if you apply through the Early Decision program.)
